His Highness Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Thunayan Al-Saud, Chairman of the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu and SABIC Chairman accompanied by Mohamed Al-Mady, SABIC Vice Chairman and CEO, conducted an inspection tour on November 25, 2007, to Yanbu National Petrochemical Company (YANSAB), SABIC’s newest petrochemical complex. Prince Saud along with the delegation were received by YANSAB Chairman, members of YANSAB board and YANSAB president.

The Prince listened to a briefing from YANSAB president, Abdul Rahman Al-Fageeh on the implementation works progress as well as the completed works in the plants which are nearing completion. Prince Saud visited the main control room where he was briefed on its role in manufacturing processes, and use of the latest state-of-the-art technologies. He praised the ongoing efforts to complete this mega project on schedule.

YANSAB is one of SABIC’s largest complexes in Yanbu industrial city. It is a symbol of integral work, including seven production lines with annual capacity exceeding four million tons of petrochemicals. It will contribute to raising the Saudi Arabia profile in the world petrochemical industries, support national development plans and programs and strengthen the SABIC competitiveness in international markets.
